You talk about starting a real exercise program. Maybe you even do it every now and then. But then the novelty wears off or excuses and you get ‘busy’, and before you know it, fitness routine–what fitness routine!?
Get out of the hit-and-miss habit & make it second nature!
•Change your mindset of what exercise has to be! I always say- something is better than nothing. Movement is movement. So whether it’s yoga or weight training or walking/running –It’s something!!
•Find something you ENJOY!! I LOVE changing up my workouts. I have access to 1000s of workouts at my finger tips. Getting bored isn’t in my future at all!! Soooo–>WHY NOT just ROLL out of bed and do a set workout program of choice that is FUN. WHAT do YOU enjoy doing?? Seriously where I workout (FROM my HOME)–it’s got something for everyone!! So realllyyy!!? What do you enjoy doing?!
•Mix up workouts with recreation activities. Do you like swimming? Do you like dancing? Do you like softball?? PICK SOMETHING you can commit to doing recreation wise once in awhile TO KEEP it exciting!!
•Find a partner! Find someone who will meet you for a run or walk. Or someone who’ll do your workouts with you at their home or yours. OR even more awesome–> ViRTUAL partner!! My current group has 46 participants! They’re all partnered up and are ROCKATARS!! They all LOVE that extra accountability support. It helps build this healthy habit with someone DOUBLE WIN!
Be proud of your efforts. Be proud of your goals and reaching them. Take action and make it happen!!
