Truth #1 The first time I went to a yoga class I thought to myself “I don’t think I can get into this”.
.
Now its one of my favorite things to teach and do.
.
Truth #2 I’ve struggled with being insecure in the competitive world of yogis.
.
Whether you can balance in Tree Pose or a Handstand — either way you’re a bad@$$!
.
Truth #3 I have had to defend myself with my practice.
.
I’ve been personally questioned about my practice and my faith. When I teach, I teach with intention of mental and physical challenge. To improve within oneself. To connect to what feels right for each person and do what they’re body is capable of and give it a good challenge.
.
For my ME TIME practice I find a lot of connection with my faith and intention. It brings a lot of mental clarity for me and that’s what I have really grown to love in addition to the physical aspect.
.
Yoga has so many dimensions and depth to it. I truthfully feel to each their own practice. FIND what YOU like and go with that. I love to teach to challenge the body through balance, movement, toning. I love to FLOW with breath, movement, and music (maybe its the dancer in me).
.
If just moving and balance are your jam. DO IT. If chakras, mantras, chants, etc. are your thing. DO IT.
.
Remove the labels. Remove the Comparisons. Remove the Expectations.
.
Connect to the being the BEST version of yourself — LIVE the best life you can — and LOVE doing it (with no worries or concerns of the status, practice, abilities, etc. of your neighbor yogi)

Yoga is the journey of the Self, Through the Self,To the Self.”–The Bhagavad Gita
