A “broken record”…

How many of us are a BROKEN RECORD with “desires-wishes-etc we want/we’ve wanted To-Do”?!


Everyday you go to sleep. Mind races and you think UGH I wish I did this or that. OR DANG I meant to start this or that today and forgot. Etc etc. WHATEVER it is…it happens to me ALOT!


For me it isn’t the Darn. I wanted to get my workout in or eat better today — THAT is a frequent one for many (right?) — but for me LATELY it’s been – DANG I wanted to “Create a routine and stick to it” because often at night I’d think of ALL THESE TO-DOs I could or should have done BUT INSTEAD I did other (most of the time) unproductive crap.


So just like creating a HABIT of working out and eating right – you have to start somewhere- be consistent and dedicated to the plan – AND before you know it you’ll feel GOOD about what you set out to accomplish.


Work started back up for me and THAT is exactly what I needed. A more enforced set routine! TODAY my 1/2day of work — I have the morning off and I’m sitting in the quiet dark (dreary rainy day) to BUILD my new routine! Starting off with my 40 Day Prayer Challenge and Reflection with my 5 Minute Journal! I used to use this everyday….broke my habit…now as I looked at the LAST date I entered 12/18/16, I was shocked at how over a year went by and I didn’t even really realize it.


Here’s a little taste of the 5 Minute journal — answer these for yourself DAILY – start out EACH MORNING with a grateful head and heart and the rest of the day will and should only GET BETTER!


*I am grateful for …. (state 3)

*What would make today great? … (state 3)

*Daily affirmations. I am …. (just let it flow out of your mouth…ie. I am kind to everyone. I am patient today. I am on time. I am going to do an awesome job today at work. Etc.)


In the evening close out your day with reflecting on:

*3 Amazing things that happened today … (state 3)

*How could I have made today even better? (Just let it flow- be honest with yourself).


What do you have to lose by taking 5 and doing this?

Think it’s silly to do this?! Then don’t….BUT if you think it can help you reconnect with yourself and reset your mindset and be a better YOU….then give it a go ❤️🙂.

I am 35 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother to a Beautiful Boy and my Rainbow Baby Girl. I am a dance and fitness instructor. I own a fitness studio where I offer a variety of fitness classes in the evenings. I recently have become a FULL TIME Fitness Coach after 3+ years of working as a Day Care Assistant after having my Son and leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. Fitness is my passion! I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout my both of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own and with Beachbody programs, live my dream of being a work from home mom (for most of the day), and teach at my studio (and other locations) in the evening. After the birth of my son I have worked hard to get my pre-preg. body back. Shaun T's T25 was initial program and then Tony's P90X3 BOTH which I loved the short affective times because with having a newborn baby that was EXACTLY what I needed. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT doing what I do! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
