I’m talking about Automatic Negative Thoughts.

Those thoughts that immediately pop into your mind and either:
🗣 talk you out of what you were thinking of possibly doing
❓make you question things in an unproductive way
😔make you doubt yourself
😡make you angry or sad 😢
😱 stress you out….& more

ANT’s are no way supportive or beneficial to us when they alter our mindset in an unproductive manor.

Time to SQUASH those ANT’s. Try this the next time you have an ANT crawl in on your idea or thought!
🤚🏻 The 5 Second Rule (thanks to Mel Robbins) — Activate the prefrontal cortex in your brain 🤓AKA – STOP 🛑 & REDIRECT 👏🏻 your thoughts 💭 within 5 seconds —> by simply counting down 5.4.3.2.1 — sure sounds a little crazy 😜 BUT it works (read her book 📖 for more scientific explanation)
Reset your MINDSET with something more positive that can come about from your idea or thought.
We obviously can’t control the uncontrollable BUT we CAN reset our mindset and refocus on BETTER – POSITIVE things WHICH can help keep us motivated, on task, in a good mood, successful, etc.

This can really work with all aspects in life (job, family, fun, friends, goals, dreams, etc.) now…don’t feed your ANT’s – squash them!
