This image has become bittersweet for me. This was my last 1/2marathon last month.

Anyone who’s caught my journey over the past year+ has seen my journey of miles I’ve put in under my feet. WOW what a journey…literally Blood, Sweat, Tears, a few toenails LOL have been sacrificed along the way.

It really all started with hosting a 5k race in my small town. This year my friend and I will be hosting our FIFTH “Best Dam Race”.
.
Through the years I pushed my 5k pace and time…I then went on to 10ks. Then I challenged myself to run a 10k pushing my Son in a stroller the entire way…then thought “LETS SEE if I can do a 1/2 Marathon”. Did my 1st 1/2 Marathon with my two BEST running buddies and that 13mile distance quickly became a weekly jog for us.

I remember last Spring/Summer my RB Dawn saying LETS DO A MARATHON…I said Nahh! Well needless to that 13miles was getting fairly easy and we took the challenge.

Now that’s been quite a journey and ALOT of miles under my feet. At this time I’m Honoring my Body and making the choice to not run more than 10k’s distance until I know my Body is a HEALED vessel. I am so grateful and Blessed to have had those experiences and now will enjoy the leisurely jog lifestyle.

I challenge YOU to challenge yourself! I’m not saying go run a marathon BUT I AM saying get up and move! Move a little more each day! You’ll make so many healthy memories in that journey!! You’ll surprise yourself and your abilities!! You’ll get stronger and feel more healthy and amazing overall!
