When was the last time you laid outside on the ground and stared up at the sky?.
This is something I brought up recently in my yoga class. As we did yoga outside and laid in corpse pose for the end of our session I couldn’t help but think….WHO does this anymore?

Who completely allows their body to relax and take in the sights, sounds, smells, sensations of what’s around you?

Who stares up at he clouds and watches them
float by.
.
I know I don’t usually take the time to do that. BUT every time I do with my Yoga class. I realize how I SHOULD be doing this more often EVEN IF IT’S JUST 5 minutes!!

I also recently had this discussion with some friends while running too. They brought it up and I thought WOW have they been mind tapping me LOL.
.
We talked of how when we were younger, less distracted, no adulting required, it was something you just did with friends, laid out…found shapes in the clouds.
.
HERE’S something too…Who can totally separate their thoughts, to-dos, racing mind, and RELAX? That is tough!

One thing I remind my yogis of, as they drift into a deep relaxed state, is to clear the mind and to let any thoughts that pop into their mind to “drift by like the clouds in the sky”

Take 5 minutes and lay out and just breath…don’t worry about what you’ve done for the day or need to do BUT FOCUS on yourself and those few “stop everything”
minutes. It’s really rejuvenating. Don’t feel funny about it. Just #tryit!
