The times that I feel my best are the time that I just finish working out. {Especially when you rocked out so much your hair falls out of its braid ππ»…see πππ»}.
Did you know that when you work out you release chemicals in your body that our “feel good” chemicals? It’s the same chemicals that our body gets when taking anti-depressants.
.
It’s like self-medicating yourself.
.
I know what it feels like to use anti-depressants. Years ago I suffered from PMDD (huh…what’s that? google it). Anyone who suffers from some form of depression suffers differently but for me (WOW I’ve become an open book lately) exercise, once again to the rescue, became my fix. With eating healthy, living a healthier life, and working out in some way, shape, form…I wasn’t on those pills very long.
.
I’ve had those feelings of emptiness creep back into my life with my loss. You WANT to be happy but there’s such an imbalance from your body/mind/life experience. Some people will get what I’m saying.
.
From my experience and what I KNOW works for me. EXERCISE is my anti-depressant. I just finished a class on campus. We ROCKED OUT with Pound and I’m feeling once again that feeling of ‘Everything is OK”. There will be ups and downs BUT I’ll feel me 100% again in time…just gotta keep being me and doing what I love!! #fitness #coaching
