February the LOVE month. My focus this month is LOVING yourself!!
What better way to love yourself and to see yourself in a good way!! A Better Body Image!
A healthy body image — how you see yourself in the mirror or picture yourself in your mind — can lead to better self-esteem, a happier, and healthier YOU!
How to work in that? How about–>
• FORGET celebrity perfection/culture. I posted a few days ago about the super bowl drama with Lady Gaga. Everyone’s comments to my post were SPOT ON, that was real time and NO time for photoshop! The bodies promoted by media are usually always digitally altered/enhanced in some way.
• LIVE & LOVE movement! Sitting all day doesn’t do any good for our mind, body, and spirit. Getting up and moving (walking, dancing around, running, hopping on a bike, etc INCREASES endorphins –those ❣️feel-good❣️hormones in our body. These hormones reduce depression and anxiety WHICH will automatically make you feel better about yourself.
• Enjoy life & that’s means food too! I’m always telling those I work with that a LIFESTYLE CHANGE doesn’t mean never eating a piece of chocolate, a beer, or glass of wine. It means knowing and being aware if your food choices {good and not good}. Instead of fixating on calories FOCUS on appropriate balance and portion control. Ones diet {not A diet–YOUR diet=daily food intake} loaded with veggies, fruits, whole grains, proteins, healthy fats can/will lead to a healthy body.
•Healthy relationships are important here too. If you have body image concerns SURROUNDing yourself with positive support systems are crucial. If others you hang out with or speak with are DebbieDowners on your body or their bodies too it’s only going to continue to spiral down.
Learn to LOVE ❤️ YOURSELF. Work on yourself to LOVE yourself more!! It’s TIME to LOVE YOU! #Fittoloveme #Fittoloveyourself #h2tfitnesswithsarah
