Today was DAY 3 of my ROCKSTAR Survivor group!! I ALWAYS say at my studio and my groups to not be shocked if they don’t feel sore the follow morning after their workout BUT that they’ll feel an effective workout 24-48hrs later.
BAM…..I have been getting messages sharing how sore they are INCLUDING myself lol!
You know the benefits of getting fit. But sometimes, especially after starting a new or more intense activity, your aching muscles seem to tell a different story. SORE TODAY–STRONG TOMORROW!!
SORE–DO NOT QUIT! Minor aches are great indicators that your body is working out like it should. You’re getting stronger and healthier 👍🏻
Here’s a few tips!!
Don’t skip the warm-up — you should never stretch a cold muscle.
Cool down after working out — you can add some stretches at the end of your activity, too.
Really vigorous workout; take a bath 👍🏻 helps relax muscles.
Take over-the-counter pain reliever and use a heating or cooling gel or cream. If into using more natural type topical medications try using some essential oils!
See your doctor if muscle aches are severe, impair your movement, or cause any sharp pains. Exercising on an injured muscle can cause further complications.
