Soooo today’s group THANKS topic was •Talent•
I’m grateful for my talent ability to read and play music. It’s something I feel fortunate to have learned and natural at doing. It HAS been some time since I’ve used this ‘talent/ability’ BUT I’m sure it’s like riding a bike!
This quote seems fitting for the subject of Thanks today :).
Itzhak Perlman. A famous violinist was stricken with polio as a child and has braces on both legs and walks with the aid of two crutches. His walk was slow and labored. Theres a story of a show he performed in and how in mid performance he broke a string on his violin. He could have taken the time needed (which was longer because of his labored walk) to go get a new string backstage and reentered with a restrung violin BUT instead he made due with what he had and performed a beautiful performance.
I love this quote because our goals and choices are up to us and how much work we put in with what we have available to us.
