First time Yogi…

Does yoga intimidate you? There’s so many ways to look at yoga…so many interpretations…so many personal connections…so many teachings!
I love to tell my students that when they take a class EACH instructor brings their OWN flow to the class. Not one class will be the same. I also love it when they come to me and say they “can’t turn off their brains” enough for yoga class. So I tell them about my first experience at a yoga class. I explained to them how I felt the same way. I couldn’t turn off my brain. We went through the class and then finished in corpse pose with ocean wave music playing.
As the instructor guided us in Savasana I remember thinking constantly…of what I was doing..where I was…what I needed to do…how I felt…I couldn’t just ‘give in and relax’. In fact as she talked of ocean waves moving towards our feet, and back away and up again, my friend turned to me and said she ‘doesn’t know how to swim’. Obviously she couldn’t settle herself either.
It was from that point on and all the other classes I ever took that learned from, I ‘created’ my own flow that I teach and how I’ve learned to set intentions. How I’ve learned to calm my brain, my thoughts, my body.
I LOVE having new people come take class with me and see and share how they’ve progressed with it. BUT I understand the intimidation of taking a yoga class!! That’s why I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that I am able to help coach anyone who may feel intimidated by yoga –> right in their own home!! Learn the basics…build your confidence…affirm your abilities…and grow stronger and ready to join a group!
Are you ready to learn the basics? Want to like yoga? Want to give it a first time try??!!

I am 40 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother of 4 (Funny Double Digit Boy, my Rainbow Baby Sassy Girl, my Blue Eyed Silly Boy, and my Sweet-as-can-be Baby Girl). Once a dance instructor and fitness studio owner (closed the doors in 2020). I found my passion in Fitness and Coaching after leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout all 5 of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own, run, and with Beachbody programs. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT having that as part of my life! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
