Eat to live NOT live to eat!

So do you have those day that you just want to eat everything in sight? Maybe it was a stressful day or exhausting day and felt it was easier to grab a bag of chips, sit on the couch, munch away and before you know it that whole bag is gone??!

So what was it? Stresses, bored, sad…a these feelings often trigger the need to sooth and at times that comes from eating. Soo hello emotional eating.

Guess what though 😳?! That food you find yourself grabbing isn’t going to fix the problem. It’s only going to temporarily numb the emotion through distraction (or maybe the chemical makeup of the food itself-i.e. Sugary foods–again temporarily). Usually once that is ‘done’ you feel worse for having that loss of control! This is all normal! Human emotions. Sometimes we have tough days. BUT if you find you do this often here’s some tips!

•Don’t buy foods you tend to overindulge in

•Do something to take your mind off eating

•Exercise when you feel stressed or upset

•Address the source of your stress

•Keep healthy snacks (cut veggies, unbuttered popcorn, fruit) on hand for when you need something to munch on.

••Just remember: Eat to live NOT live to eat!!••

I am 40 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother of 4 (Funny Double Digit Boy, my Rainbow Baby Sassy Girl, my Blue Eyed Silly Boy, and my Sweet-as-can-be Baby Girl). Once a dance instructor and fitness studio owner (closed the doors in 2020). I found my passion in Fitness and Coaching after leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout all 5 of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own, run, and with Beachbody programs. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT having that as part of my life! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
