#WednesdayWiseWords
One particular day, about 7-8 years ago, there were some wise words that were spoken to me that have forever been stored in my mind.
I was interning in a guidance counselor office and had my ‘end of my internship’ meeting with my course/intern supervisor at her office.
I don’t recall everything we spoke of that day but I remember expressing my concern about kids taken my advice, concerning choices they make, and my impact on them etc.
As we finished up our meeting her words have stuck to me like glue! They have stayed with me through these years and they truly apply to everyone and just about every situation.
Her words went something like this:
“…Just remember, you are planting seeds. Each child is a seed. Each thought and suggestion is a seed. You may have come into that child’s life and no matter what you do or say, whether you see change, or the results YOU were hoping for, whether they come and stay for awhile or go, YOU have been part of their growth …you can’t see it now but they’ll grow into trees. So just keep planting seeds and 10 years from now…your nurturing may have helped them grow into who they are. Plant the seeds within them, water, nurture, and let them grow!”
In time I realized this doesn’t just apply to kids. This applies to everyone, everything, everywhere! I try to live day by day keeping this in mind with my words and actions! So I pass on these wise words for you to think about and apply yourself 😉☺️😍🌱🌲🌳🌴. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
