Being as it’s VALENTINE’S WEEK I wanted to share some LOVE YOUrself mind shift thoughts!
One of the BIGGEST things I see from those who I work with is SO MUCH negativity upon themselves.
Something I ask them to think about is “If someone spoke to your child or your best friend the way that you speak to yourself would you smack them??
So STOP self hate negative thoughts.
1. Learn to love yourself and your ‘perceived’ flaws. NO ONE is perfect!! God created us exactly how HE planned and for us to question that will get us no where!
2. When it comes to your lifestyle change and when you lose weight, if you didn’t love yourself before, you won’t love yourself after. Instead, you’ll wonder why your now smaller jeans don’t equate to happiness and what you can do next…stop reaching for that external recognition, and look within…it’s a lifestyle journey LOVE the journey!
3. The scale is not your friend, and should not be used as a Self Love measuring tool. If it’s causing more stress, anxiety, pain, DON’T look at it. Often I see/hear people go from a total high to a major low from seeing a couple pounds change on the scale–the feeling that their day/week/life was ruined by that slight fluctuation. Many things contribute to ups and downs on the scale FOCUS ON HOW AMAZING YOU ARE FEELING & how your clothes are fitting)!! .
4. This Valentine’s Day, if you want those chocolate covered strawberries–>give yourself PERMISSION to eat the dang chocolate. Life isn’t about making yourself miserable!! I always say 80/20 if wanting to indulge a bit!! So ENJOY it!
5. If you are single this Valentine’s Day, buy yourself some roses and chocolate covered strawberries. No one said you HAD to be in a relationship to feel the love…celebrate how you LOVE YOUrself!!
