Recipe for Abs!

Ever hear that saying abs are made in the kitchen. It is true~It least in my experience! After having my son I didn’t know what was going to happen to my body, specifically speaking here, my stomach. BUT I set a goal, I challenged myself to do the best I could with good choices, and it worked!!
All of those models or all of those body competitors that you see, and think, wow they have great abs (yes some photos are airbrushed and makeup used to create the perfect look) and for those legit abs it takes hard work, dedication, and sacrifice.

I’ve had many people ask me “what can I do to get a flat stomach?”. The key from my experience is the combination of workout and nutrition. You have to eat the right food, you have to burn calories, and you have to want it bad enough.

You can do all the crunches and ab exercises in the world and that’s great -sure- because you’ll be building those ab muscles –> BUT until you incorporate cardio and PROPER NUTRITION you won’t see the abs you’re dreaming of.

You can do is many crunches as you want but if you than sit down and eat a bag of chips and watch TV AND that’s all you do you’re not going to get the flat stomach you want! Yes -sure I’ll say it again- something is better than nothing -but you also negated it with that bag of chips.

So if you want it bad enough —> you do cardio, strength conditioning exercises, and start cutting out that bag of chips for a healthier snack. I’m not saying go cold turkey and start eating kale chips but I am saying smarter choices.

I am 40 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother of 4 (Funny Double Digit Boy, my Rainbow Baby Sassy Girl, my Blue Eyed Silly Boy, and my Sweet-as-can-be Baby Girl). Once a dance instructor and fitness studio owner (closed the doors in 2020). I found my passion in Fitness and Coaching after leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout all 5 of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own, run, and with Beachbody programs. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT having that as part of my life! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
