Postpartum Transformation

I can’t believe 5months have flown by since giving birth to my daughter.

In the last 16 weeks I have been working with my online groups and myself to get my much needed endorphin kick BUT to work on that journey “back to me”. The new me. This journey has been slow and steady! My focus has been #strongnotskinny #healthyandhappy

Tap tap through my journey #backtome in my highlights on IG (@sarahhoodh2t) You’ll see ❤️.

I focused on my 4x a week of doing a combination of using weights and HIIT exercises. The other days or workouts I did were mostly yoga and occasional run here and there.

I ate chocolate (quite often), had wine (a few times), my fix of gluten free carbs, quite a bit of oats, oh yea…and almost daily fix of peanut butter 🤷🏻‍♀️😄.

I truly feel my mindset has been in a completely different place between my two birth experiences. Having lost my baby between my Bray and my Olivia, I was very humbled and grateful for my last pregnancy. I GREW a lot in my mind and heart and RESPECT for life and myself so much more.

I could have dialed in my nutrition and gotten more results —> BUT my body isn’t just mine to be selfish with. I’m still nursing and providing for my baby girl. So my body is going to hold onto fat to continue to produce for her. The days I didn’t eat enough or may have done to much exercise, I notice huge changes in milk supply. So this time around —> This journey has been all about HONORING my Body. Not stressing. Just enjoying the journey.

I am 40 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother of 4 (Funny Double Digit Boy, my Rainbow Baby Sassy Girl, my Blue Eyed Silly Boy, and my Sweet-as-can-be Baby Girl). Once a dance instructor and fitness studio owner (closed the doors in 2020). I found my passion in Fitness and Coaching after leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout all 5 of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own, run, and with Beachbody programs. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT having that as part of my life! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
