Tuesday’s Thoughts!.
Yesterday I read someone’s response to a post someone made in a Golden group I’m in (I know Furmom nerd). It really seemed to get under my skin and all I kept thinking was “If this girl was in front of you right now, asking these questions, would you say what you’re saying right to her?”
.
It bothered me because she was asking questions that this other person felt were silly and dumb and she clearly shared how she felt she didn’t know anything and shouldn’t be a Furmomma.
.
Now. In my experience. WITH ANYTHING. We aren’t BORN knowing everything. We LEARN as we go. We educate ourselves…we seek guidance from others who have already done some education and dedication towards it…etc. (which is exactly what this girl was doing AND seemed as though she was grateful for the advice and was taking action).
.
It’s funny how one thought triggers another BECAUSE THEN I thought of how this has happened to me in my life. With Teachers. With Job Supervisors and/or Bosses. With fellow Coworkers etc.
.
People just need to step back before they react!
.
This goes for ALL things and walks of life!! Human is human! Human is not being perfect. Everyone is traveling their own road, learning and doing their own thing AT different speeds and abilities. Everyone has struggles, obstacles, etc. it’s unfair to expect everyone to KNOW everything or be perfect!
.
So in the advice of my Baby B. Stop. Look. Listen.
✋🏻 stop before you react.
👀 look at all angles of the situation.
👂 listen to what you’re thinking about saying BEFORE you say or type it. AND we all know YOU CAN NOT hear emotion through text!
.
You can call it shaming, bullying, thinking you know better, have a sense of entitlement etc. ALL IN ALL –> One isn’t above one another! There’s enough negativity in this world which causes backlash and hurt.
.
So next time you see what YOU may not feel is a dumb question, reaction, outreach, etc (**AND THERES NO PHYSICAL HARM being done to a person or animal**) then lend a kind supportive hand to help further educate in a positive way VS shaming them. Let’s be a part of the solution. Not become a problem. Do the next right thing. #givelove #support #guidance
