Are you BUSY? Or PRODUCTIVE? — Do you overfill your tank? .

Signs of Capacity Overload –>

😬1. Out of control emotions. Out of control emotions often reflect “over capacity” = overwhelmed- irritability- anxious, etc. “Out of control emotions reflect the out of control demands we place on ourselves”
.

❣️2. Lack of Self-Care. “Those who operate at over capacity rarely have time for self care.”

-Grab & Go meals have become routine OR WORSE YET Candy Bar and Coffee becomes a frequent lunch.

-More coffee is consumed than water

-TV, Social Media Scrolling, and Couch Potato Paralysis has become your evening routine

-You admire OR secretly bash others for their healthier choices (fitness, nutrition, etc) INSTEAD of investing that energy into your own life.

.

A full plate of obligations and work overrides taking the time to meal plan, get active, and/or care about our physical body, health, and appearance. “THAT sounds like MORE WORK” -it doesn’t have to be!!

.

American Psychological Association released study stating: “In general Americans seemed to understand the importance of healthy behaviors (managing stress levels, eating right, getting sleep, and exercise) but they report experiencing challenges practicing these important habits. They report themselves *to busy*.”

.

Taking care of oneself may seem or feel selfish BUT IT isn’t. You must take care of yourself –> if you don’t how can you “do” those busy things.

.

🀒 3. Illness. “If you’re overloaded you may find that you’re often feeling run down, sick, or constantly feeling sick.”

.

πŸ•° 4. Chronic Lateness. “How many times have we said yes out of obligation or guilt?” How many times have we felt we have no time or energy to add anything to our plate. Do you say YES to to many things/people? Sometimes that happens and we can’t keep up with everyone and everything. Often we do it for fear of letting others down–sometimes it’s better to just say “sorry no” so you don’t cause stress in yourself OR the other person when you know you can’t give it your all!

.

πŸ’Š 5. Self Medicating. Food (sugar and junk is most common, TV, social media, exercise).

.

πŸ‘«6. Neglecting Important Relationships. “You’re always busy…Put your phone down- do you feel like you’re habitually letting those closest to you down?!”

.

πŸ™πŸ»7. Neglecting God. As I quote my friend who often says/reminds me “If you’re worrying you’re not praying, if you’re praying you’re not worrying”.

.

πŸ“š This book I’m reading “Breaking Busy” by Alli Worthington I SWEAR feels like it was written FOR ME! If you feel or felt any of those *Signs of Overload*. Time to reevaluate! Time to make changes and take action. Time to BREAK BUSY and be the best, productive, loving, healthy, YOU possible!

I am 40 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother of 4 (Funny Double Digit Boy, my Rainbow Baby Sassy Girl, my Blue Eyed Silly Boy, and my Sweet-as-can-be Baby Girl). Once a dance instructor and fitness studio owner (closed the doors in 2020). I found my passion in Fitness and Coaching after leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout all 5 of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own, run, and with Beachbody programs. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT having that as part of my life! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
