Why is it that it takes something to happen for someone to take action?.
Recently just listening to a book the author (John C Maxwell) shared his story of a massive heart attack experience and how at age 51 he promised himself, “I will take good care of myself by exercising and eating right”.
.
Something so simple as making the decision to know and follow healthy choices daily can be DISRUPTED by the the actual *taking action* of that decision.
.
He said it ALL TO WELL. “If you know the value of good health but struggle with making the commitment, taking action, and making changes….turn attention to a subject of importance”.
.
It’s so true!!
.
1. Have a purpose worth living for! {Family, Empire, Job, People, Animals, whatever it is…}
.
When SEEING the BIG PICTURE, it helps us put up with the little annoyances, irritations, and struggles. [Waking up earlier, exercising, sweating, sore, tired, passing on that routine evening dessert, smaller portions, etc-I’ve heard them all]
.
2. Find motivation in that sense of purpose!
.
I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it again. MAKE CHANGE & follow through with it. #Commitment #Dedication #Consistency #Determination
.
Everyone can do it. Everyone has a purpose. Everyone can be proactive. Everyone can beat their excuses and find motivation within. We all are human and struggle BUT decide what’s worth living for when making those choices!!
