This is my old back brace. Yup. At one point I had gotten to a point I went and bought a back brace to ‘wrap my core with support’.
Spondylolisthesis. A mouth full!
So at some point I caused a stress fracture in a vertebra and it led to this condition. A condition that debilitates each person suffering from it differently. For me, I would have such debilitating back pain it would leave me unable to perform my best on my competitive cheer squad or dance at the studio I worked at. At one point just WALKING was a struggle. For a few years I dealt with this.
It got to the point of steroid injections into my spine! YUP when it came to an epidural when having my Son was all to familiar with needles into my back.
I found this back brace while cleaning out a box in my closet. I FORGOT about it. I haven’t had injections in my back for AT LEAST 7 years.
What happened 7 years ago!!? Dedication and commitment to strengthening my core!! I started working out regularly. I focused on my core strength. NO NOT JUST CRUNCHES…everything engages the core!! So running in place I made sure my core was engaged etc.
I was able to WRAP my CORE with a strong INTERNAL MUSCULAR back brace vs. using this one.
I’m not a medical professional. NOR preaching to cure anything you may be suffering with.
I just knew that when they told me when injections would stop working, back surgery was next. I’m so happy that I am 100% more aware of my core and KNOW what’s possible with dedication, commitment, and HONORING my body!!
