Run Tips….

Had 20mins before teaching AquaFit so I went for a run. While running I noticed something I was doing with my fingers. I was taking note about myself as I was running in preparation for the upcoming ‘C25K’ class my studio will be hosting.

Are you someone that clenches your fists when running? Or just don’t know what to do with your hands?

I heard once to act like you’re holding a potato chip in your fingers.
Once I did that I always seem to catch myself doing it.
When doing that you aren’t wasting energy by clenching your fist etc. It works for me!!

AND another time I was running short on time again. Had 10minutes before teaching class so I went for a quick run again. Whoa humidity! Got to sweat out some toxins in that little amount of time!! SO while running I thought of another TIP! When feeling like you are *done* and can’t do more BUT want to push yourself a little bit more..put some FOCUS into your arms.

Try this- Think and act as if you’re pulling a rope. Like Hand over hand. Reaching far out and pulling elbows back. YOU’LL notice a change in your pace and ease in your run!

Try it…another one that works for me… 😄

I am 40 yrs. old -a Wife and Mother of 4 (Funny Double Digit Boy, my Rainbow Baby Sassy Girl, my Blue Eyed Silly Boy, and my Sweet-as-can-be Baby Girl). Once a dance instructor and fitness studio owner (closed the doors in 2020). I found my passion in Fitness and Coaching after leaving my Emotionally Taxing Case Management Position. I love to work out on my own AND with others! Throughout all 5 of my pregnancies I continued to work out on my own, run, and with Beachbody programs. I know and understand the self discipline it takes to achieve your desired goals and I am still on that path and have my struggles as everyone else does! I love to offer my support to my clientele with group fitness classes I offer in my community and I feel we work as a team all together to HELP each other. I LOVE offering my support via the web too as I REACH other people that I can't physically see. IT IS AMAZINGLY rewarding and I can't imagine NOT having that as part of my life! Im currently on my postpartum journey once again and so GRATEFUL and BLESSED to live this healthy lifestyle, lead by example for my family, and support others on their journey too!
