Sooooo sometimes you feel like a chewy yummy granola bar right?! Well I do!!

The fun thing about making your own granola bar is that the POSSIBILITIES are endless!!! AND the awesome thing is YOU KNOW EXACTLY what ingredients and how much is going into your bar!!

These were a mix up of:

2/3 cup chopped walnuts & 1/2 cup slivered almonds

1 1/2 cup – oats (not quick oats!)

1/2 cup– chocolate chips

1/3 cup – cranberries, dried

1/3 cup  – raisins, seedless

1 cup – peanut butter, all-natural

1/2 cup – honey

1/2 teaspoon – sea salt

I happen to be making these at the day care—if I was home with all my other ingredients I would get all CRAZY and add things like flax meal, hemp seeds, & chia seeds 👍. It would be yummy with cashews or whole almonds too.

Mix dry ingredients (except chocolate chips). Heat peanut butter up a bit so it mixes well and honey too if need to. If it’s to hot though it’ll melt the chocolate (as I discovered) SOOOO add the chocolate chips last if adding those in.

Press in lined 8×8 baking dish(with parchment paper or foil) can go in larger dish for thinner bars, to finish them –> refridgrate for a couple hrs.

Makes 12 bars (in 8×8 pan)

Enjoy!!
